Embrace Life With Abandon

As the new year arrives, we inevitably begin to reflect on our past and make goals for our future. I recently read this quote from Steve Jobs, and it struck a chord with me, especially during this time. When a year ends and a new one begins, I sometimes feel as though I haven’t done enough, or that I’ve been wasting my time on the unimportant. This quote helps to remind me that just because my life doesn’t look like those around me, doesn’t mean I don’t fit or that something has gone wrong. Everyone is unique and it is vital to recognize that you can’t live life based on other people’s expectations. Just like Jobs says, “have the courage to follow your heart and intuition” because this courage will ultimately lead you toward your happiness, even if it doesn’t look as you had expected.
