People often ask why I chose to create in India.

The answer isn’t simply because of the incredible craftsmanship.

It’s because, from the moment I arrived, I felt something I hadn’t expected.

I felt at home.

Although I grew up in Nigeria, India felt strangely familiar. The warmth of the people, the importance of family, the respect for elders, the vibrant colors, the food shared together—it all reminded me of home.

I found myself drawn not only to the textiles but to the way artisans viewed their work.

Creating wasn’t simply a business.

It was part of everyday life.


Skills were passed from grandparents to parents to children, just as my own grandmother taught me the value of cloth growing up in Nigeria.

The more time I spent there, the more I realized this journey wasn’t only about designing clothes.

It was about discovering connections between cultures that, on the surface, seem very different, but underneath share so many of the same values.

That belief has become the heart of my work.
