KUTCH No. 07 — Leela (Indigo/Camo)
Fluid. Expressive. Unbound.
A reworked army jacket, layered with tonal camouflage and hand-applied motifs, then naturally dyed
and finished with mirror embroidery by Rabari women artisans.
Made from memory. Worn with intention.
This piece carries a sense of movement — nothing fixed, nothing rigid.
Built on a vintage army jacket, the surface is reworked through layered pattern and tone. The vertical
panel draws the eye downward, creating rhythm, while the scattered motifs across the sleeve and
body feel almost instinctive — placed, but not forced.
The color holds depth. It shifts subtly across the fabric, revealing its past while allowing new
expression to emerge.
It is then finished with mirror embroidery by Rabari women, each stitch placed by hand.
